This is my final project, i made a clown head and a smaller clown bust. I made it to where the clown head is more detailed and the bust is more simple with primary colors. I did find it challenging because it was hard to carve in the details how i wanted trying to get it to me symetrical. I am however happy with how it turned out and its my favorite project from all year.
So for my food project since my favorite food would be chicken from local gas stations, i made a chicken wing sauce bowl, a cup that says slurpee and a plate for chicken strips. I really like how this turned out, and my favorite would be the slurpee cup.
this is my alebrije// the sketch vs the final project. it was a mixture of a rat, turantula, and a bunny
Teacups i decided to make two roses for our teacup project. I decided to make the plates orange because I like the way it goes with eachother. I carved my initial and my boyfriends initial into the plates.
this is what my final project was beginning to be, i didnt have enough time to finish but it was going to be a devlin/angel hybrid of myself in the cartoon KIDS NEXT DOOR art style.
These are the sketches I decided for my slab project, I decided with the bottom one (3) because I really like the spring design I made along with the sculpted/finished product.
This is my throw on the wheel project, I made a bowl but wanted to do another graffiti type look when glazing it.
This next project was a coil pot. Basically I wanted a more nature type of look for it and so I started out with a pinchpot and made coils to stack on top of that. Obviously the coils representing the vines, I made some leaves and carved into the coil to really made it a little more like vines. When painting it with underglaze, I thought it looked kind of dull so I used some orange to really try and add some vibrance to it.
This is the end result of my inverse of my glaze transfer, i like how it turned out a lot. Some of the paint turned out patchy, but I still like it despite it.
This is my design for my glaze transfer. I did this design for it, because I really like the whole meaning behind yin and yang and wanted to do my own version of it.
This is my pinch pot and wanted to do a trash can with graffiti. I think graffiti is such a pretty type of art and wanted to put that in my pinchpot.
his is my texture/initial stamp. I tried to make texture on one side of the stamp and my "initial stamp" on the other making one stamp overall. I wanted to make it in a UFO type shape to show that I like space themes.
